Privacy

The Aidsfonds Academy is organized by Aidsfonds.

Aidsfonds Academy ("we") attach great importance to the protection of your personal data. We process your data with the utmost care and only in accordance with privacy legislation. In this privacy policy you can read how we process your personal data.

Personal data and user accounts

If you create an account, you will become a registered user of our Academy. This means that we maintain a profile in which we record the following personal data:

  • First name and surname
  • Email address
  • City/town
  • Country
  • your participation in our activities, requests for information and complaints to us

 When using our websites, we may process your IP address, unique device or user ID, device, system and browser type, screen resolution, date and time of visit, website visited for this purpose, pages visited/downloaded and content, loading time of web pages, data, times and locations at which you perform actions on our website, websites that you visit after having visited our website, click behavior and your location.

For what purposes are anonymised personal data used?

We may use the aforementioned personal data for:

  • The implementation or application of laws and self-regulation.
  • Processing data for the purpose of management information, product and service development and determining the overall strategy.
  • Research objectives to improve the quality of education and the academy. For example, for evaluation reports and to improve the activities of Aidsfonds.

How are personal data processed?

We always process your personal data on the basis of a legal basis. The legal bases we use are:

  • The processing is necessary for the representation of our legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests include being able to carry out the above purposes;
  • The processing is necessary for the execution of an agreement to which you are a party.
  • The participant has given consent to the processing of his of her personal data for one or more specific purposes.

Who are possible recipients of this data?

We may share your personal data with the following parties:

  • Internal: employees insofar as they need the data in the performance of their duties.
  • Third parties: support and function correctly processors, such as parties that host our websites.

We never pass on your personal data for commercial purposes or to countries outside the European Economic Area. Third parties that process your personal data on our behalf always do so exclusively according to our assignment. They are obliged to keep your personal data secret and to destroy it after use.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. We conclude agreements with service providers who process personal data on our behalf in which we oblige them to take these measures as well.

Retention period of personal data and forum contributions

We keep your account and the data until you indicate that you want it deleted. After 5 years of inactivity, you will receive an e-mail from us asking if you still want to remain registered in our Academy. If you do not respond to this within 30 days, your account, including all associated data, will be automatically deleted.

Contributions from participants will only be kept in exceptional cases. It is then explicitly indicated in the workshop description what the purpose is and which data it concerns. Expert reflections are preserved. We do not store your personal data for longer than is necessary for the purpose of the processing.

Right of access, correction and opposition

You can always request access to your data or have it corrected. If you object to the processing of your personal data or you no longer wish to receive information from the academy, please contact us using the contact details below. Are you not satisfied with the way we process your personal data? Then you can submit a complaint to our complaints coordinator (see below) and / or to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Cookies

Our websites use cookies to collect information about your website visit. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer when you visit this website. You can read more about the cookies we use and how you can disable cookies yourself in our cookie policy.
